About us

Greetings to all interested families! My name is Eli, my wife Marz and I are offering excellent home daycare In Emeryville. We have a Large Daycare Permit and are licensed by the state of California.

I have a B.A. in Child Development from Cal State East Bay. I have worked at the UC Berkeley preschools, the French American Elementary in Berkeley and for the Oakland Unified School District. Marz has a BFA from San Francisco Art Institute, and has a background in restaurant and food preparation that informs our nutrition and menu options.

We offer a home style setting, a small ratio and excellent curriculum based on the best research in the field of education. When providing care, I favor three childcare philosophies in particular: Attachment Theory, Free-Play Curriculum, and Scaffolding. This means that first and foremost we provide predictable, consistent care in an environment that encourages exploration with selective help to encourage learning.

Our daughter is seven years old and attends second grade in the Oakland Unified School District.

We are looking to enroll children as young as 3 months and up to age 5 with families looking for full-time, long-term care.

Our infant program has four spots and is a full-time program.

Our toddler and preschooler program is opening in September 2023. Toddler and preschool age children have the option of full or part-time care including half days.

We have a comprehensive plan for providing care over the span of the first five years, where we meet current needs while anticipating upcoming development and supporting growth. We offer an hourly rate for infants and a daily rate for 2 years and up, with the option of additional hours both in the morning and evening.

We provide organic home cooked vegan meals. We also are happy to serve non-vegan food, breast milk and formula provided by families.

We have former and current families that are happy to provide a reference for our daycare.

We believe in play based learning.

Our mission is to foster a love of learning in your little ones, through positive peer interactions.

“Play is often talked about as if it were a relief from serious learning. But for children play is serious learning. Play is really the work of childhood.”
